Benefits of Membership

With membership in DC ABA, you become a part of a group of people who share your passion and quest for advancement of the field of applied behavior analysis. Join this group of behavior analysts, students, parents, professionals and educators to disseminate research, best practices, career development opportunities, and behavioral ethics in the district. Membership will aid your quest for education, supervision, services, and employment in the field of ABA. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in behavior analysis, without discrimination.  We embrace differences in race, ethnicity,  sexual orientation, gender identity, age, country of origin, first language, religion, disability, and social and economic status.

Student Membership


Student Member: $15/annual 

​- Any individual pursuing formal training in the discipline of behavior analysis 


- Application must be accompanied by documentation certifying the applicant’s student status.  


- Membership is by the fiscal year June 1st - July 31st.  


​-Benefits currently include discounted approved CEUs and members only resources 

Affiliate Membership


Affiliate Member: $25 annual
- Any member evidencing interest in the discipline of behavior analysis may apply for this class of membership.  This may include parents or family members of clients, community members, teachers, individuals in related services or providers of services to mutual clients of behavior analysts.


- Membership is by the fiscal year June 1st - July 31st.


​- Benefits currently include discounted approved CEUs.

Professional Membership


Professional Member: $35 annual membership

-Any individual holding a bachelor’s degree or Any individual holding a graduate or higher degree, but does not meet criteria for Full Membership;

-and with cour​sework or experience directly related to or involving behavior analysis

-and who has at least one year of experience in professional commitments, such as teaching, research, and/or practice in behavior analysis.

This may include BCaBAs or RBTs with a bachelor's degree.


- Application must be accompanied by documentation certifying the applicant’s degree  status, resume,  or CV.


- Membership is by the fiscal year June 1st - July 31st.


-Benefits currently include discounted approved CEUs.

Full Membership


Full Member: $35 annual membership

-Any individual holding a graduate degree

-in a discipline directly related to or involving behavior analysis

​-and who is an active behavior analyst in good standing

-and whose professional commitment includes teaching, research, and/or practice in behavior analysis

-This may included BCBA, BCBA-Ds, or other credentialed behavior analysts.

​- Full members may vote on membership decisions of the chapter.


-Application must be accompanied by documentation certifying the applicant’s copy of certification, resume,  or CV.


- Membership is by the fiscal year June 1st - July 31st.


​-Benefits currently include discounted approved CEUs.







 *Note that by choosing a membership level, you are attesting that you meet the requirements for that level.  Refunds are not given for memberships.  Please note that any conference or event registration fee is separate from membership.   You will be contacted via email within one week with a certificate of membership or to request more documentation if needed.
